WATCH: Advocates Urge Congress to Increase Access to Innovative Diagnostics
Effectively treating a disease begins with an accurate diagnosis, but current Medicare reimbursement policy limits patient access to many innovative diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals that can diagnose and monitor conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, advanced cardiac disease, cancers of the prostate, breast, and brain. The technology has also been integral to validating an Alzheimer’s diagnosis for many patients, like Geri Taylor, by confirming the presence of amyloid plaques in the brain.
Watch as Geri’s husband, Jim, talks about why Congressional action is needed to improve access to these critical drugs:
Please join Jim, Geri and countless other advocates in asking Congress to pass the Facilitating Innovative Nuclear Diagnostics (FIND) Act and give clinicians all the tools necessary to diagnose Alzheimer’s disease and many others.
