April is Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month! While Parkinson’s has many symptoms, perhaps one of the most well-known indications is uncontrollable shaking – medically referred to as tremors or dyskinesia.
One FDA-approved treatment for tremors is focused ultrasound therapy. This non-invasive, therapeutic technology works by focusing beams of ultrasonic energy to target portions of the brain that are interrupting the circuits involved with tremors while sparing healthy surrounding tissue.
